It is not possible to unscrew our log cabin doors from their frame to gain access - we use special security hinges which are also fully adjustable. This garden room has a contemporary styled pent roof (single slope from front to back). The fully glazed doors and deep windows that wrap around the front wall give it that modern styling. They introduce lots of light into the building.
A light and airy garden room has lots of uses
The fact that this garden cabin is very light and roomy inside means that it is really adaptable for many different activities. An artist studio or hobby room are perfect for it. If you are working from home, then a Twin skin version of it will be more that adequate. The thick insulation in the roof, walls and floor make it ideal for comfortable all year use. It only needs a small electric heater so it's nice and cosy.
Adaptations
As with all Hortons buildings, this contemporary pent log cabin can be modified to any shape, size or design. One very popular modification for our pent cabins is to lift the rear wall height up. Therefore giving the maximum head height throughout the cabin. Increase the rear height from 2.1m to 2.4m, giving a 100mm fall from front to back. Given the minimal roof pitch, this requires our EPDM rubber roof kit. Which ensures that it remains waterproof (you will see this is an optional extra in the product lists). The extra 300mm of height at the rear of the room makes a surprisingly big difference. That extra head room means even the tallest person can walk around the entirety of the space without even close to hitting their head on the ceiling and feeling claustrophobic.
