This large pent roof garden cabin make a great garden games room Price From: £7,479.35
This modern 6x5m pent garden room provide masses of space whilst being within general planning and building regulations rules, so no permissions are required. It measures 2.5m at the front and 2.4m at the rear. Which is enough to throw the rain off. We always recommend using EPDM rubber roofing on pent roofs, especially when it is a very shallow roof pitch. The front roof canopy provides both shade and shelter from the rain, and as such is a very functional element of this cabin.

We offer many different options for wall thicknesses and specifications. This model starts off with 35mm single skin wall logs. This is only useful as a summerhouse or store room. Adding in our insulated roof and floor kit will make it much more useable (Spring and Autumn with minimal heat). Then stepping up through the wall thicknesses to 70mm single skin. This is a very substantial strong log cabin and obviously that much warmer than a 35mm wall. However, the main cost of a cabin is dictated by the amount of timber used to make it. That being the case, a 35+35mm Twin Skin cabin uses the same amount of timber, and therefore is a similar price. But the Twin Skin cabin is about 3 times warmer due to it's cavity walls. The 45+45mm and thicker walled cabin has options for the thickness of the wall cavity. Starting at 50mm and going right up to 105mm which is enough to make it comply with Building Regulations for habitation! Simply put, it is as warm as a new-build house!
Does this 6x5m pent garden room need permission?
There are 2 types of permission - Planning Permission and Building Regulations....
Planning permission - this cabin is under 2.5m tall and can therefore be built in your garden without the need to apply for planning permission. There are of course other, more specific restrictions that may apply - check here for details
Building Regulation - the most common mistake people make when thinking about this topic is that it is the INTERNAL floor space that counts, not the overall building. This means that this building, although 6x5=30sqm, is well under the threshold. Again there are further more specific rules that may apply - check here for details.
