Cabin deliveries to your back garden or garage

Cabin deliveries to your back garden or garage are not usually possible. However, we now have equipment that enables us to "drive" your cabin packs into your garage or around your house. Assuming there is a flat, reasonably level and hard pathway that is wide enough). There is no need to employ workmen to do this, or spend hours carrying the parts yourself.

How do we do this?

We have specialist equipment. We don't use large cranes which would need to be enormous to lift over your house and into your garden requiring permits to close roads etc. All we need is a side access path which is solid, relatively flat and level (we cannot go over unmade surfaces such as grass or dirt). We also need an area large enough at the rear of your house to set the packs down.

Advantages of our garden deliveries

If the access to your house is only via a pathway, it is possible for us to transport your cabin pack/s along this pathway to your house. This is much better for you than delivering to a spot a long way away, necessitating you (or your paid contractors) to move it immediately. This can be a problem if the delivery is late in the day.

You now have a choice to not leave the cabin packs on the roadside or your driveway which is a security risk.

The cabin packs are undisturbed when we deliver them - they are still in their weatherproof wrapping. Thus you don't have to sheet them over before you or your installers install the building.

Requirements for the cabin deliveries to your back garden or garage

Garage delivery -

  • there needs to be a hard surface leading up to your garage from the parking position of the delivering vehicle
  • reasonably flat
  • no major slopes (less than 5 degrees)
  • the area in the garage needs to be 300mm longer and 750mm wider than the cabin packs. We can advise you of these but it is usually the length of the roof purlins as these will include any roof canopy lengths as well

Garden delivery - there needs to be -

  • a hard surface leading to your garden from the parking position of the delivering vehicle
  • reasonably flat
  • no major slopes (less than 5 degrees)
  • no steps
  • no ramps
  • no tight corners (due to the length and width of the cabin packs)
We are unable to drive over manholes or drainage gulleys given the weights involved. There also needs to be a hard, level and flat area large enough to set the pack/s down as well. We cannot transport across grass or dirt as the solid wheels will sink.

Standard packs are about 1.2m wide (depending on the type of building) so the access width would need to be at least 1.5m wide. This allows for the wheels outside of the packs. However, if your access width is less than 1.5m then we are able to get the cabin packed in thinner packs to fit through garden gates etc (at extra cost). This access width must be advised at the point of order of your cabin as the packs cannot be re-packed afterwards - this measurement is crucial in order for the delivery to go smoothly and according to plan.

Charges for garage or garden deliveries

There are 2 parts to the pricing for this service -

Initial set up fee - £60 inc. VAT

"Travelling" fee - £1.00 inc. VAT per metre travelled per trip (sometimes we can double stack, so the number of "trips" doesn't always equal the number of packs - we will advise you how many "trips" this will be). We therefore require an accurate measurement of this distance.

Visual checks for the garden / garage deliveries

We will require you to send some photos and also a walk-through video of the route. Plus the thinnest measurements of the access route. You can send them via our WhatsApp as the files will likely be too large to send by email.

Alternatively we are able to carry out a site survey to assess the feasibility of this service. The charge for this is £50.00 plus £1.00 per mile from RH13 6NX (there and back) inc. VAT. This service will also measure the travelling distance required using a surveyors wheel. This means that we are able to give you a fixed price for the work.

In the event of a site survey has been refused and a mis-measurement has been sent to us where we are unable to get the packs to where you require, we will get them as close as we can, but no refunds are given.

If the travelling distance has been advised incorrectly, then there will be additional charges if further, or refund if shorter.
