We make all Hortons log cabins from slow grown spruce timber. Double glazed windows and doors are standard for all Hortons Log Cabins of wall thickness 35mm and above. 28mm Log cabins come with single glazing as standard (

Hortons cabin doors come with special security hinges which are also adjustable. It is not possible to unscrew our log cabin doors from their frame to gain access - we use special security hinges which are also fully adjustable. We can add extra doors and windows to any Hortons Log Cabin, call us for details & quotes. Minimum purlin size for Hortons log cabins is 70x140mm and no greater than 600mm apart for a very strong roof

Choose one of the thinner log wall options if you just want a summer house. The design lends itself to be a really pleasant garden retreat to enjoy the warm summer days.
If you want a bit more use out of your cabin, you can make it much more useable by adding the roof and floor insulation kit to a single skin cabin. This will enable you to happily use it from Spring through to Autumn, or possibly even longer with the help of a small electric heater.
Do you need an all year garden cabin? Then choose one of our Twinskin options. These are warmer than most houses! Even the 28+28mm Twin Skin model is as warm as a house built in the late 1980's! However, you can upgrade it even further by adding our house quality windows and doors or uPVC joinery to the 45mmm + 45mm Twinskin model and you have garden room that is truly luxurious and almost certainly warmer than your own house (unless it was built after June 2022).
