Hortons cabin doors come with special security hinges which are also adjustable. It is not possible to unscrew our log cabin doors from their frame to gain access - we use special security hinges which are also fully adjustable. We can add extra doors and windows to any Hortons Log Cabin, call us for details & quotes. Minimum purlin size for Hortons log cabins is 70x140mm and no greater than 600mm apart for a very strong roof

Pent roof cabins need reliable roofing
The modern popularity of the low pitch pent roof has come about in no small part because of the new type of roofing material - EPDM rubber roofing. The main reason for the historic hesitancy of customers regarding the pent roof (or slightly sloping flat roof) is that they have a felt covering. Felt only comes in 1m wide rolls, and therefore there were numerous joints across a roof span. This 6x4m pent roof would have 5 joints totalling a 30m run of seam. It only takes 1 weak joint to start leaking and you've got a major problem.
Felt only has a finite life span. So unfortunately it is always a ticking time bomb and it will always inevitably leak. EPDM however has a much longer life span - ours has a 20 year manufacturer's warranty. And will last much longer than that, and crucially is one large sheet. This eliminates the problems that felt roofs have.
