Hortons Post & Beam lock jointed 2 bay garage with room over - Oak Framed garage Kits

This is the standard size oak double garage with extra room in the roof in our range of timber frame garages utilising our post and beam lock jointing system. The garage requires a gabled-end roof style to gain maximum space in the roof and also to provide somwhere for the external access door (internal stais are also possible but this does take quite a lot of room out of the garage space below). Each model has the option for additional bays (use our quote request estimator form for any other size or shape that you require).

Don't forget each standard design can be customised to suit your requirements. Please contact us for details.

Each 5.85m x 5.3m Double Garage with Room Above Kit can include the following:-
Engineered Post and Beam oak timbers and components to create applicable frame
47x100mm Studwork @ 600 centres
47 x 150mm rafters - precut ready for assembly

Roofing Material Options

What roofing material can Hortons post and beam timber frame garages take?

We get asked frequently which roofing materials are suitable for use with these garages, as most clients like to match roofing with their house or surrounding buildings. The answer is that they have been engineered to accept nearly all types including heavy clay and pan tiles.
What Roofing Materials do we offer?
We currently offer cedar shingles (see image), Tapco slates, plain clay tiles and many others. However, If you have special requirements, please let us know and we can quote for a different option.
I want to supply my own
If you want to supply your own roofing material we would simply supply the roof carcass, leaving it ready for you to tile, felt and batten with a roofing material of your choice.
