The main advantage of the "pent" roof style is that there is plenty of height along the long side of the shed to site a door (apex sheds quite often require the door in the gable end because they are too short along the long side of the building). It is also easier to collect rainwater (should you wish) because all of the water collects at only 1 side of the building and therefore only requires 1 gutter run.
