New Treated Softwood Sleepers

New Pressure Treated Softwood Sleepers

Measurements- 2400mm x 250mm x 125mm

These sleepers are pressure treated with Tanatone which gives a natural brown colour and is guaranteed for 10 years, for this reason they are ideal for raised flower beds:

They are much straighter and therefore are much easier to layer up for dwarf walls or raised beds.
They are light to manoeuvre compared with oak or bituminised used sleepers.
Being softwood, they are much easier to cut than oak or used sleepers.

New Grade 1 Oak Sleepers (standard size)

Measurements- 2.4m x 20cm x 10cm

These sleepers are the smaller of our 2 sizes making them easier to handle, they are ideal for raised flower beds rather than the old used railway sleepers for 3 main reasons:

They are much straighter and therefore are much easier to layer up for dwarf walls or raised beds.
The used sleepers are impregnated with bitumen which can leech out over time.
They are much easier to cut (although still tough as oak is very dense) because there is no bitumen which clogs saws up.

The building is manufactured from the finest redwood forests of Estonia. The 6 walls are 45mm thick (nearly 2inches). The windows are all double glazed and fitted with high quality brass finished fittings. The inside has benches fitted to 5 walls, these convert to 3 sleeping platforms when needed.

In the centre of the Barbecue House there is a specially designed circular barbecue with removable tables. This is the widest of our standard cabin windows.

The window has draught excluder all round and is secured by 2 adjustable Scandinavian latches, 1 at the top corner and 1 at the bottom corner which clamp the sashes tight into the draught-proofing seal and makes it a very solid fit.

The hinges are also adjustable, making it a very easy item to fit and maintain.

The double glazing is made of 4mm float glass / 6mm inert gas filled cavity / 4mm float glass giving a total thickness of 16mm for the double glazed unit.

It is very important to note that the beading has an inset rebate which is utilised to seal this joint with silicone mastic as well giving a totally waterproof seal.
