We make all Hortons log cabins from slow grown spruce timber. Double glazed windows and doors are standard for all Hortons Log Cabins of wall thickness 35mm and above. 28mm Log cabins come with single glazing as standard (
Upgrade is available). We fit your glass for free before delivery, unlike some of our competitors.
Hortons cabin doors come with special security hinges which are also adjustable. It is not possible to unscrew our log cabin doors from their frame to gain access - we use special security hinges which are also fully adjustable. We can add extra doors and windows to any Hortons Log Cabin, call us for details & quotes. Minimum purlin size for Hortons log cabins is 70x140mm and no greater than 600mm apart for a very strong roof
This log cabin design is avalable to view at our showground because it's what we used to use as our own office all year round (the 45+45mm twinskin specification), which gives us 2 separate areas to talk to our customers. We have quite a number of desks and filing cabinets, not forgetting all of the chairs for our customers to sit down whilst we talk to them. We can speak from experience and say that this insulated office is certainly warm enough to work in all year round with minimal heating- we just use a small electrically operated oil-filled radiator in each room. The 45+45mm twinskin is marginally warmer than the 35+35mm twinskin, but the 35+35mm version still exceeds the thermal regulations required for a mobile home or park home.
