Two Bedroom log home
This large 13m x 7m log cabin was made to a design supplied to us by a customer. They required a large communal area within which it has a full size kitchen, lounge and dining room arranged in an L shape. All specifications were compliant with building regulations regarding the amount of insulation in the roof, walls and floor (thereby giving excellent R values), structural strength and full height doorways etc (log cabins often do not have doorways that comply with UK building regulations).
Log cabin houses are fast becoming the norm due to house prices constantly increasing and mortgage restrictions getting tougher - young adults looking to move out of home are constantly hitting a brick wall at the first hurdle. There are also the older generation at the other end of the scale - they are looking to downsize and live closer to their children and grandchildren but struggle to find something suitable. Our log cabin houses are the perfect solution to this problem - they can be built as a log cabin annexe within gardens. They can range from very small to very large (all of our cabins can comply with all of the restrictions imposed by local councils and planning departments, regardless of their size).
