Our Hortons brand of dwelling quality tilt & turn double glazed windows are constructed using extra heavy duty "glulam" laminated timber which eliminates knots and ensures that they remain twist and warp free.
The specifications are as

- Key operated locking handle
- Double draft-proofing gaskets all round
- Mortice & tenon joints all round
- Internally beaded for high security
- Fully adjustable hinges (up/down - side to side - in/out)
- Glass bedded on silicone mastic (inside and out)
- Rebated meeting stiles with draft-proofing gasket (not square cut with cover fillet) for better weatherproofing
- Window sash thickness - 7cm (finished size) for high strength
- Locking mechanism - Primary window: Multipoint locking.
- Tilt mechanism - operated by the handle, not a cheap manually operated external clip.
- Secondary window: Heavy duty lever operated secret bolts (top and bottom)
- Standard glass thicknesses - Double glazed:24mm float glass inert gas filled units (4/16/4)
- Toughened glass available as an optional extra
